Serving children, families, and educators for over 30 years, Mary Lynn has experience in schools (public,  private, preschool, teacher ed.), libraries, tutoring, and home schools with students of all ages and a variety of skill levels and special needs.  Her credentials include a B.A. degree in education with extended training in reading instruction, literature/writing instruction, storytelling, science, social studies, fine arts, talented and gifted education, the education of exceptional children, outdoor education, early education, middle school and more.  She is a licensed educator in Iowa for elementary through 8th grade and is also a licensed substitute teacher authorized to serve high schools in a limited capacity.  She is a former member of ACSI early educators and the ITAG association. Mary Lynn is well able to customize programs and services to fit most needs. 

The focus of Mary Lynn’s Learning Center is faith-based and character building with the goal of developing solid basics and higher order thinking skills through targeted strategies and enriched learning.

HOME SCHOOL SUPPORT SERVICES

Consulting: planning curriculum options, home schooling requirements & options, teaching, problem solving, support services, encouragement, “stretching” and “motivating” ideas

Supervising Teacher: Ages 6-16, all grade levels - meets requirements of Iowa law

Portfolio Evaluations: annual evaluations of student portfolios to verify progress

Testing: private or small group - for assessment option or family records.

Resources:  books, games, activity bags for purchase or rent-to-use for the year.

AFTER SCHOOL AND SUMMER ENRICHMENT LEARNING

LEAP EXPRESS will bring an age appropriate presentation into your classroom, school, church, club, or group gathering. Interactive presentations are interesting & inspiring, time sensitive, cost flexible and compatible with educational standards and measures.  May include games & crafts by arrangement.

Activity Bag Resources and Services for Teachers: we create special order activity bags and other materials for teachers.
